She studied at the Department of Fine Arts at UMK in Toruń. She completed it with honours in the studio of painting run by prof. Janusz Kaczmarski in 1988. In years 1989-1993 Simińska worked in the Department of Fine Arts at UMK in Toruń. Since 2000 she has held the position of an associate professor at Warmia-Mazurian University in Olsztyn. She was also the Head of Painting and Drawing Department and later on the Head of Painting Studio at Warmia-Mazurian University in Olsztyn. Currently the artist works at Nature and Technology University in Bydgoszcz. She also works voluntarily in the Polish Artists Association (ZPAP) in local branch in Bydgoszcz as a vice-president.
